I know that we all like order and the familier things in life. But this past few months have meant we all need to rethink what we will do from now on. Where we will find that joy and hope and inspiration again. It might be that you like walking. It could be just being able to visit friends and family again. You might be longing to have a holiday. If you are like most people then doing the everyday things we used to be able to do will now be a pleasure.
I for one will be getting back into teaching and I look forward to hosting workshops for tutors in my large studio. My other news is that at last Anthony has finished writing the two books that will be launched on Friday 29th October and are now on sale.
His life story is facinating and has all the upps and downs you would expect in life. Except he has had more than his fair share.
From the beginning of the book " Making it with Rocking Horses" tells of hard times, graft, love, loss, pain and death as well as all the highs and side splitting moments of this mans life. On sale through this contact site or Rockinghorseshop.com.

Hello I do hope everyone has stayed well and positive after this long hard year. I have been busy painting large acrylics on canvas and letting go with the paint.
I am really enjoying this latest way of painting and showing how much I love skies and movement.
In May I will be doing a live Stream and video for The Society of All Artists in Newark. I am also very excited to have sold two very large paintings and have further commissions for the wonderful Saltmarshe Hall Hotel, a fabulous venue in East Yorkshire. They have purchased one painting especially for their new restaurant.
i am especially pleased to have just completed another painting for Saltmarshe Hall Hotel in Howden. This isa wonderful old house in lovely grounds with river walks. Worth a visit for afternoon tea.

Just a line to thank you so much for the most enjoyable and instructive time I spent with you last Saturday. I really benefited from your expertise and look forward to the next rainy day when I can sit down with my paints and have another go at another landscape!
Incidentally, I showed my family my painting and they were well impressed!
I wonder if you would be so kind as to forward the photos you took on the day?
Once again, thank you very much.
Kind regards, Debbie
I hope you're well – I was hoping you'd grant me permission to share your image, Over The Wolds, on Saturday, 15 August 2020 as part of our new Saturday Showcase campaign, where we pick a selection of images from our members to share. Attached is how your image will be portrayed, as you can see you are credited. The Facebook post will also provide a link to the image on our site so people can view it in its full glory as well as see more information about you and your other images
Thanks for as lovely day. It really made me feel more confident about my ability to paint.
Yes, do keep in touch
I really enjoyed the course and will be back - probably with my mum
I’ve asked Christine Hughes’s to add you to the art swap distribution list.
I loved the classes and learnt such a lot and the homework was a great focus which was much appreciated, the camaraderie was wonderful. I kept on painting all the way through and commandeered the kitchen table for the duration just for that purpose. I’ve actually framed four paintings which I thought were ok for the children’s rooms and family (who are forgiving) and am delighted about this.
Thanks Shirley it was a great day. Pleased with the results. Hilary x
Thank you for spending so much of your time on the critiques Shirley, it is greatly appreciated. I’m feeling fine, as soon as the sun vanished behind the clouds the pollen count dropped dramatically and my eyes returned to their normal colour!

Here are a few comments from people who attended some art classes and workshops over the past few weeks.

|i have found the homework and live sessions very useful and hope that you will keep me in the loop and that i can see you and all the group again in the near future Many thanks and best wishes Bob
Thank you for spending the time doing a critique on each of our paintings. I really value your opinion. The three Gill paintings were all my attempts and I'm grateful for your detailed feedback. Thank you again.
I've had a couple of really low weeks but I'm trying hard to motivate myself and, touch wood, I'm feeling more like me. Lifting one's spirits is not as easy as people think but painting certainly helps. Your weekly homework tasks have challenged and given purpose to some otherwise aimless days. It has been great having a focus...Thank you again.
